Introduction: My experience in the hospitality industry ranges from casual to upscale fine dining at some of the top resorts and restaurants located in Scottsdale Arizona. I take the time to listen to my customer's needs and do my best to meet or exceed their expectations by offering a customized menu for their event.
I enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting the required deadlines. It is always a pleasure meeting new people and doing my part to help create lasting memories.

Food was incredible! Duck confit, perfectly cooked polenta, raspberry-something-or-other salad, all excellent. Seriously, I wish I could cook like this. I'll definitely be calling again.

We had Rich do a live cooking demonstration on flavor profiling. Not only was Rich prepared and informative, but he was lots of fun and his food was fantastic!! I loved how Rich customized his training to our likes and needs. He was very sensitive and focused on customer satisfaction. Did I say the food was amazing!! My favorite was the coffee rub flank steak!! The smoked jalapeño potato salad, watermelon 3 ways, and pineapple dessert was fabulous!! Would definitely recommend Gastro-Smith Food Services for catering and cooking classes.

I am often in need of catering for large commercial film productions. This involves feeding the cast, crew, and most importantly clients. A lot of times I am looking for something high quality and on short notice. Rich always delivers and exceeds expectations.
He works with me and to give me multiple options within different budgets and always brings a delicious gourmet meal.

Great food and a great dude! Chef Rich always prepares delicious food. He's great at hearing what everyone would love to eat and then finds ways to make that meal or appetizer even better. Highly recommended!

Rich is an amazing chef! His citrus rosemary scallops and coffee rubbed steak are delicious! His professionalism was appreciated and the event he catered went without a hitch. His originality and unique food choices were refreshing and I would definitely hire him for my future catering needs!
