This gentleman was the best! He knew exactly what he was doing and did it with expertise. He was efficient, quick and more than qualified to do the jobs we had here. Not only did he complete 7 different task in 3 hrs. with professionalism and excellence. We are already planning on using him again for another project we have coming up in the near future! He is our number one choice.Dec 19, 2017Verified
Ty removed a few random "junk" items from my house including an old upright piano. He moved quickly and got everything out with no problem! Will recommend to others.Dec 9, 2017Verified
Contractor was 2 hours late for original estimate but did contact me before original meeting time to let me know. Contractor took measurements, asked us what we wanted done, then made suggestions in response. Contractor advised us he would contact us in the immediate future with an estimate. *Note: rating is based on the fact that this process is ongoing, I will update rating as time goes on and job proceeds forward if bid is accepted, and job is completed.Sep 30, 2017VerifiedTyghe W.'s reply
The original meeting time was set for 5:00 PMand prospective client was contacted by text at 4:09PM to inform that we were delayed on a previous project and was asked if I could see him at 7:00PM and his response was "Yes...hope its going to be still light enough for you..." to which I responded, i will get there as soon as posdible. I'll text when on my way." His response : "Sounds good... I will be here... thsnks." At 6:43PM i texted "I'm on my way. Should arrive between 7 and 7:15PM." Which is exactly when I arrived. Not sure what the problem is but we are no longer interested in performing services for this prospect sonce he is already unhappy.
Ty stopped by today to handle a laundry list of small items to fix around the house as we prepare to list our home. Top notch! I am very pleased!Jul 24, 2017Verified
It was unfortunate. The gentleman responded quickly but we had an emergency come up where I wasn't available for a week. I responded multiple times after that and even tried the hire process to move forward. I never heard from him again.Jul 19, 2017VerifiedTyghe W.'s reply
Once again the Thumbtack app is cumbersome and messages are not easily seen after the initial quotation or response is sent. We did respond once this was realized and the client had already decided to accomplish the task in another manner.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is based on exactly what I think will be required based on many years of experience. No one likes surprises and a big fee later so we try very hard for accuracy in our quotations. As a result, we have never had a comment or complaint about pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first step is to have a good understanding of what the customer is wanting to achieve and based on many years of experience we try to accurately quote the written request here on Thumbtack. Next, once the prospective client contacts us we (I) arrange to see the project, and firm up the quotation on the spot and once agreed we start immediately. We never quote a project unless we are available to do the work immediately.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I grew up building homes with my father and have learned every trade in the process, seldom do I need a subcontractor.
