What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In accounting, there really is no standard price. My tax return preparation starts at $25.00 and goes up from there. It depends if the return is one W-2 on a 1040EZ or a self-employed individual with a Schedule C.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Accounting can be a lot like painting a house. Painters need to see the house in order to give a client a proper quote. Like a painter, I need to see the amount of work the client need's done. Accounting is also about attention to detail and accuracy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a two-year degree; associates in Accounting Technology. 15 years tax return preparation, processing payroll, form 941 quarterly employers payroll reports as well as state and federal unemployment tax returns.
