FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Wofford Earthworks, we know that each job is different, so we personalize each quote for our customers. We quote all jobs on-site to better understand the project so we can give a fair and honest price. With an on-site quote, there won’t be any unaccounted-for expenses or surprises when we start the job. Owner, Matt Wofford, says it best - “We don’t aggressively sell, we aggressively help.” Our accepted payment methods include MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Visa, Apple Pay, and Bank Transfer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we will discuss the project over the phone and get some general information from the customer. Once we have worked through the basics, we will schedule a time (usually within a week) to come on-site and evaluate the project. After we have inspected the site and assessed the work to be done, we will create a quote. Once the quote has been accepted by our customer, we will work with Georgia 811 to set up locates on the project area. This third party will come out within a few days of acceptance and mark anywhere there is an underground utility such as cable, water and electric lines. After the locates have been completed, we will arrange for delivery of any materials that are needed for the job. After that, it’s time to begin!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Matt Wofford has over ten years of grading and excavation experience. Matt is NPDES-certified with a Level 1A Fundamentals (Blue Card) certificate and is also Rosgen-certified in Wildland Hydrology.
