Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have been playing guitar for over 40 years. Specializing in classical guitar and chord melody playing. I have a Bachelor Degree in Classical Guitar performance. I studied guitar with John Sutherland( Sutherlands House of Guitars), Wallace Zimmerman(Mercer University in Atanta), Keith Sullivan(Jackson State College), and Allen Mathews(Portland Oregon). Worked at Guitar Center Marietta for almost 10 years helping pros and beginners get the most out of their guitar selections. Performances include weddings, Broadway shows (Fiddler on the Roof, Princess and the Pea, Ralph Von Williams orchestral works). I have performed as a solist, in 3 piece jazz group, 7 piece praise and worship band, and with full orchestra. I also teach piano from beginners to advanced intermediate students. I take great pride in not only helping my students to play their instrument but also helping them understand the music they are playing. The goal is to give them the bases and knowledge to be able to play anything they want to play.

I have been taking bass guitar lessons with Tom for a couple of years now, and he has been a great teacher. He teaches all ages and has the patience of a saint for some of his younger students. He teaches the basics of playing with everything from learning the notes on your instrument to learning to read sheet music and music theory. He can also work with more advanced music students. He teaches piano, guitar, and bass guitar often playing with the student to help them hear what they should be doing if they get stuck on some lesson goal. He has always been great with my scheduling if something came up that meant I had to move my lesson to another day or time. He also is very good about communicating if he has scheduling conflicts as well, so you always know what is happening with your class. Overall, an excellent first music teacher, regardless of age, that you will not be disappointed with giving him a try.

Details: Adult (18 years or older) • No formal training • Yes, the student can read music • What the teacher recommends • Yes, the student has an instrument • 30 minutes • I travel to the bass guitar teacher
