We made the decision to have a team building event on March 24,2017 for our sales and marketing team. Tim was prompt with responding to the information request, thorough in the details he provided, and helpful in guiding us to an event in his kitchen that would be within our budget and fun! Our day went smoothly and everyone on our team has been very complimentary of Tim and the event as a whole. We all feel like we have increased our culinary knowledge and skills and highly recommend Tim!Mar 27, 2017Verified
Great! Tim was able to teach a group of self proclaimed "cooking experts" a lot. The class was well organized, the meal was fantastic, the environment was warm. Tim did a spectacular job!Dec 11, 2016Verified

Chef Tim was a great teacher and host for our team building activity. He listened to my requests, provided ample time for my team to prepare food and socialize, and was in budget. It was a memorable experience. You can feel confident in hiring Chef Tim for your next private party, catering event, or in my case team building event/cooking class.Jul 31, 2016Verified
Tim came out to cook for us, for my wife's birthday. We threw him a few curve balls, like adding an additional person only a few days before the event. He was very professional and managed to stretch the food to accommodate. Tim was FANTASTIC and the food was GREAT!Jun 16, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? For dinners I charge a labour and food fee. The labour fee is a flat event rate i.e. if the event lasts an hour longer than planned, I will not charge you more. This fee covers the cost of menu development, time for food shopping, preparation, cooking, serving and cleaning. The food fee is the cost of the food and beverage needed for the event. This can be estimated prior to the event, but it will not be known until the food/beverage is purchased. It is best to give a budget either as a flat dollar amount or per head. Lessons are a flat fee per person and it covers the cost of the food. Any quotes given include all applicable taxes, fees and gratuity.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? For dinner parties, a face to face meeting and a quick inspection of the kitchen facilities reduce the chance of miscommunication and ensures your meal can be cooked correctly. Don't worry I have enough cooking equipment I can bring. Just give me access to water, electricity and/or gas. For lessons, we confirm the time, length and subject via the phone, and then all you need to do is turn up with enclosed footwear.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Amongst my many degrees and qualifications, I have a Culinary Degree from Le Cordon Bleu. I have been employed as a chef in an international renowned boutique hotel and I have many years experience of cooking casual meals/formal dinners/cocktail parties for high net worth families in Highland Park Texas. I have a collection of over 500 cookbooks that I read regularly for inspiration. I also travel extensively eating at world esteemed restaurants. My highest degree is a Masters in Applied Finance.
