Honestly, I was impressed enough with Jeff diagnosing/disassembling our water fountain/cleaning/repairing that I’d like to find other things for him to do around our house (Highland Park). Super nice/professional/well spoken and was nice enough to send photos/videos at my request. If he gives you a bid on your job, do yourself a favor and just accept it; I can’t imagine you won’t be pleased. Photos are: Before- During -AfterNov 2, 2018Verified
I had a broken sprinkler valve that needed replacing as it was stuck open flooding the yards. After meeting Jeff I liked what he had to say, very nice and informative so I offered him the job. His price was fair for the job. It took a few days due to rain, water kept filling in the hole and the water wouldn't allow the adhesive to cure. Once he was finally able to fix the issue, he mentioned he couldn't find a sprinkler shut off valve and recommended I install one coming off the main in case this happens again, I agreed and told him to do so. ...if this happened again in theory, I would be able to turn this valve off keeping water to the house and just turning off water that went to the sprinklers.....WRONG! Later on I find out it doesnt work like it should. The day after the repair I informed Jeff it was leaking (see pictures) Jeff came out to inspect the leak the next day and it wasn't leaking at this time, go figure...so as we were talking and inspecting it, thankfully a few minutes later it started to leak as we were standing over it...I heard it purge air so stepped back and it literally exploded in Jeffs face. Now at this point we had to shut off water at the main. I left to work and all Jeff could do was cap it as he had other jobs he needed to get too...I was ok with this as with it capped, I could still use my water in the house. Days go by and I get the run around with cancellations I cancelled plans on the weekend as he said he would be there, kept giving me hourly updates pushing back the times and than finally cancelled late in the day. Still being very patient I said that's fine..a week goes by of this and he finally text me "Cant finish yours, please hire someone and let me know what they charge", this was on 11/15/2016. I said ok, wont be until after the holiday as I was leaving the country for vacation for 2 weeks (this gave him more time to fix it, but he didnt). Onice I got back I had HEB Plumbing come out that Sunday within 30 minutes of my call and had it fixed and working in 2 hours. Their sealant didn't need 24 hours to cure. Whats really funny is they saw the sprinkler on/off valve that was installed by Jeff before I even said Hi to them and they said "why did they put this valve in the wrong location"??? No wonder it didnt work when I tried shutting off water to the sprinklers, it wasnt the lead pipe off the main and was pointless!!! This hole was dug and valve installed for nothing...making my lawn look terrible and being charged for it. Now I paid Jeff once the repair was done, before it exploded thinking the Job was done...terrible mistake. I have sent numerous polite texts, emails and phone calls and have not heard back since 11/15/2016 in regards to the reimbursement. I am now going to take LEGAL ACTION out of principal. I was very understanding where most people would have went with someone else to get the job done sooner, I paid him for his repair job which obviously didn't work nor did he finish and wasted over a month of my time with this situation. I really didn't see this coming as I thought he was a nice and knowledgeable guy. Do yourself a favor, stay clear from him and call HEB Plumbing they were great, cheap, friendly and very quick with the repair.Dec 12, 2016Verified
