Larry Ratliff: Comedian, Speaker, Film Critic
About this pro
LARRY RATLIFF is a funny, funny guy … and a man of many talents. He’s a comedian, public speaker, award-winning film critic and published author. His book, available on Amazon, is titled “Did I Write That Out Loud?” and subtitled “We Might As Well Laugh. It’s Only Life.” As a comedian, LARRY has performed for audiences large and small, old and young and some so Botoxed-up he couldn’t quite tell how old they were. If there’s anything Larry loves more than movies, it’s making people laugh. As a film critic, Larry has traveled much of the world interviewing every A-list movie star you can think of and covered the Academy Awards for NBC. That’s what his two dozen or so Movie Memories presentations are about. You can find all about them on his website, LarryRatliff.com. After spending over 30 years as a nationally known, award-winning film critic who has traveled much of the world interviewing A-list movie stars, reviewing movies and covering the Academy Awards for NBC, I love to share stories, make people laugh and motivate folks with Movie Memories presentations.
Customers rated this pro highly for work quality, professionalism, and responsiveness.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My fee depends on the size of the audience and the occasion. Please contact me by telephone for a price quote or visit my website and click on the CONTACT link at the top of the page.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My first step is to identify the need of the client. I have over two dozen Movie Memories presentations to choose from, including motivational ("Confide and Conquer"), funny ("We Might As Well Laugh"), behind-the-scenes Hollywood ("Hollywood's Hot Movie Scandals"), seasonal ("Happy Ho-Ho-Holidays: Great Holiday Movies") and theme-related ("Hollywood's Great Romantic Scenes," "A Salute to the Great War Movies"), so there's something for everyone.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a bachelor's degree in speech from the University of North Texas with a minor in journalism and an emphasis on radio-TV and film. I've spent over 30 years reviewing movies, traveling much of the world interviewing A-list movie stars and covering the Academy Awards. My awards include Associated Press awards for film criticism and a UPI award for entertainment reporting.
