FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by a flat fee - not hourly - for the work I create. Therefore, larger projects may take some consultation to understand the scope of project to have an idea of overall pricing (number of pages, size of illustrations, complexity, etc.) I take a smaller deposit upfront, but majority of the cost of the work will be once work is complete. For larger works, I will submit a short contract (with easy to understand language) in order to ensure we are on the same page!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to speak with new clients to get a wide breadth of understanding regarding their project. Every project is different, and I like to get to the heart of the outcome of the project, whether it's the message of the book you're writing or the reaction you're hoping to get from a loved one. I work to gain an understanding of the aesthetics you enjoy, what type of style you're aiming for, and how involved you like to be in the process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a graduate in strategic communications, I worked for 3 years post-graduation in social media strategy and account management at agencies in the Dallas area. I have an understanding of how to properly communicate and build a relationship with my client, along with the industry know-how to convey your message visually. I am a self-taught artist, however I have been working regularly with clients on large and small projects for the past 3 years.
