I'm an adult beginner new to piano and Ken has been absolutely amazing at teaching music theory and piano technique. He asked what my goals were and is tailoring his lessons to help me meet those goals(understanding music theory, sightreading) He's extremely passionate about teaching and goes above and beyond to make sure that I'm getting the best experience possible.

Details: 18 - 25 years old • Yes, the student can read music • No formal training • What the teacher recommends • Yes, the student has a keyboard • 60 minutes • At the pro’s location

I've had 5 lessons with Ken now and can confidently say he's an excellent teacher. He is incredibly animated and obviously loves teaching. My first class with him consisted of a test of sorts to gauge my current music theory level as well as some basic drills. Since then he's helped me break bad playing habits and tried to steer me towards a less mechanical style of play and practice than I was learning on my own. Ken also teaches a wide variety of musical styles and works with you to figure out where you want to go musically -- he's definitely the kind of teacher who can adapt to whatever you want to accomplish. 5 stars!

He is really great professional. I'm amazed with the job that he save been done with me. With only two lessons I can really see the difference in my voice.

Ken is awesome! I love the way he teaches, with an outstanding passion for music and such kind patience for his students. He is always smiling and full of energy, and my time with him makes me like playing the piano more. I definitely plan on keeping him as my teacher for a very long time. Welcoming, funny, patient and professional. Ken's style of teaching is exactly what I was looking for. Being a shy person I was hesitant to start vocal lessons. I just had my second lesson and I can't wait until next week. Great teacher!
