FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have a standard pricing system depending on what specifically I'm tutoring. For those that get quotes from me and feel it's a bit on the high side, I am willing to work within a customer's budget. For more information, please don't hesitate to contact me. :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to work out a schedule with a new customer as to how many hours per session, how often we'd meet per week, and where. I give a sheet for the parents to look over and sign which can be done either in person or prior to the first lesson date. I like to develop a good rapport with all my customers and students and let them all know that I'm here to help them in any way I can and as best as I can. We're a team! :) Typically, I offer homework help with students and also have the student practice additional problems likely already in their textbook.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated at Northern Illinois University in 2007 with a BA in elementary education with middle school endorsements and a teaching certificate. While in college, I worked for their tutoring program as an SI Leader where I had to attend math classes four days a week and create lesson plans for a session once a week to help students prepare for the next quiz/test. After graduating, I worked for 4.5 years at Westmont High School as a Special Education Teaching Assistant working mainly with students with autism.
