FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing for one-on-one training, which includes the lessons and necessary training tools, is $600. One-on-one sessions are 4 sessions that last about 1.5hrs. Each additional session beyond the first 4 sessions are billed starting at $75. Each additional session will be the same length of time. Additional session pricing vary dependent on my travel requirements. The one-on-one sessions cover sit, down, come, place, and heel. The pricing for a 14-day board and train in my home, including the necessary training tools, is $1,700. The board and train program in my home comes with a lifetime of dog training guarantee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on the age of the dog, I will recommend puppy classes and start with the basics of potty training and carry it through the process of pack leadership. If it is an older, more mature dog, we will go over the unwanted behaviors it may be having and again establish the leadership role and introduce the concept of the basic commands of come/sit, down, heel, and place. One-on-one sessions should be held in an environment that limits distractions. So that we enable the dog to learn the new behavior prior to introducing distractions. Board & Train sessions are held in my home. They require 30-minutes for drop off so we can discuss your dog further. Specifically what he/she may already know, what he/she doesn't know, and any unwanted behaviors. You'll receive daily pictures and videos on the progress of your dogs training. At the end of the 14-day board & train will require around 2 hours of your time. This allows your dog the ability to showcase everything he/she has learned. Your dog will know sit, come, down, heel, place, off and a few other advanced commands. Advanced command training is all dependent on how your dog progresses through the 14-day board & train. Usually, we are able to achieve advanced commands. And every board & train comes with a lifetime of dog training guarantee.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've trained dogs off and on my entire life from childhood to my adult life. And not just training my own dogs but dogs of many friends as well friends of friends. I met Maureen, the owner of Mo'bedience a few years ago. Maureen has over 10 years of experience training dogs. She has trained dog agility, service dogs, and basic to advanced obedience. Maureen's proudest moments in dog training was her service dog training whereas the dog would live with her for 2 years. The service dog and Maureen would work daily on very specific tasks. At the end she was saddened for the service dog to leave her home but she found absolute joy in seeing the service dog bond with those in need of a service dog.
