I have spent a great amount of time practicing in such fields as physical therapy, neurology, acute accident clinics, and have worked extensively with insurance. I have had a lot of experience putting my very in-depth knowledge of human anatomy into practice. I have both years of experience and education at my fingertips!
I offer invoices with my NPI number to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement and can take credit/debit card payments on site.
I am also a Certified Birth Doula through DONA. I have the experience and qualifications to help you prenatally with massage, nutrition, and childbirth education, physiological or natural childbirth, and through your postpartum period with breastfeeding and bonding with your infant. My perinatal services include Birth Doula care, Lactation Consultation, Prenatal and Postpartum Massage Therapy, Aromatherapy, and Infant Massage Instruction. I work with midwives and obstetricians in the area to insure that you have the best childbirth experience possible. I work with you on exercises, positions, and stretches to help your infant get into the right position in your body to help labor progress both quickly and smoothly. I have the experience and qualifications to help you prenatally with massage, nutrition, and childbirth education, physiological or natural childbirth, cesarean section, or VBAC, and through your postpartum period with breastfeeding and bonding with your infant.
I love working with injuries and people with pain. Clients tell me that they love my use of pressure. I am adept at finding ways to work sore muscles to reduce pain and increase flexibility. I enjoy helping clients restore balance in their body! My favorite is when I meet a client for a massage and they are bent forward, slumped and feel like they cannot move well, then, after the massage, they stand up nice and tall and say they feel like they've grown taller!
I thoroughly enjoy decompressing the muscular structures of the back. I have the benefit of having dissected the human back in incredibly delicate detail. The knowledge that I have of muscles, nerves and spine anatomy and physiology gives me a great advantage in bringing balance back to these structures. I also enjoy working with your physical therapist or physician as a therapeutic member of the team!
I also love working with new mothers. The Perinatal period (pregnancy through 1 year postpartum) is a time of great changes throughout the body. Your body must make lots of changes to accommodate the birth of your child. I have a passion for natural medicine and believe that you deserve the best in both pregnancy and childbirth. I enjoy actively working with moms to have the healthiest and most comfortable pregnancy possible! This is a beautiful time in your life that you should enjoy as much as possible!
