FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to sit down with customers over a cup of coffee and discuss their project--finding out the intimate details that make it so unique and important to them. From there, we set a budget, date, time and location that best fits their needs. I believe that great art is no accident--it takes preparation, hard work and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge about one's craft. It's a process that not only produces beautiful images, but also work that honestly and creatively reflects the client and their goals.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I traveled the world in 2013 with a camera in hand to capture my own memories. I had no training, no fancy equipment and no idea that I would fall in love with the art of photography. As I documented my journey and posted photos for others to see back home, requests came rolling in from other people wanting me to document their stories, passions and projects. The rest, as they say, is history.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't shop price. Believe me, as a recent bride myself, I know that weddings are expensive and that it is SO tempting to hire someone at the lowest rate. Don't do it. These are your memories we're talking about and you never get the opportunity to capture them back. Hire a professional that is passionate about your story, perfectionistic to the point of madness and treats photography as an art form--not just a job. Sure, you may pay a little extra for someone with these qualities, but you won't look back and wonder "what if" when it's all said and done.
