Introduction: I am an award-winning instructor, seeking an opportunity to showcase my exceptional skills to support, improve and promote the growth and maximize the potentiality of those students struggling in math. I am a secondary math teacher with 17 years' experience. DPS, CO and TX. I teach 5th-10th grade algebra and geometry, 12th grade financial algebra, 7th grade science and life skills. I am also a 9th-12th grade educator for at-risk students/drop-outs. I graduated in University of Texas, Arlington, TX., with Bachelor's Degree in Education Certification Program specializing in Mathematics. I have a professional license in TX and CO in general education K-6. I am highly qualified/certified in 6-12 math, literacy, social sciences. I was endorsed in math, ELA, and HGT. The following are my achievements: - achieved 53-86% high academic growth for 10 consecutive years in dps - two-time mile high teacher - published in the book, "instructional strategies that work" by pat quinn - selected by bill and melinda gates foundation to participate in the “measures of effective teaching” study for exemplary teaching record - recognized by nw area math specialists, asst.
