FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a consultation lesson with the student or parent to start. This gives me a feel for past experience, desires, and what they hope to accomplish with piano. From there, we will take a lesson to get a good assessment of your basic understanding of piano (if any). These first two steps allow me to create a customized lesson plan built to fit your specific needs and give you the opportunity to grow how you want to!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Playing in churches. Parents inquired if I taught, and I started teaching kids and adults from the congregations where I played. I discovered I enjoyed it greatly, and starting learning everything I could about effective teaching methods.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with people of all ages, my youngest current student is 6. I taught a gentleman who was in his 70's. I have taught all ages and skill levels in between.
