FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard is $120/hr for the event/shoot, which covers $60/hr shooting during and $60/hr for editing after and coordinating shoot logistics. I make deals for good folks and returning clients! $60/hr for tutoring.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to reach out over email to outline the basic logistics and look of the shoot. Then I build a mood board and share that over coffee before the shoot or day-of before shooting begins. Really just want to make sure we're on the same page so we get what we want!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm self-taught and proud of it. I landed a job at a camera store early on where I learned everything about gear and technique, soon teaching classes, workshops, and seminars on every aspect of photography to beginners and pros alike. At the same time, I was working with a sports photography team where I got to travel the midwest and learn the ins-and-outs of sports and commerical photography. I've been shooting and teaching ever since.
