Mike is a excellent instructor, he takes the time to show you how a beat is constructed, and breaks it down so you have a deeper understanding of how it all fits together, highly recommended

Mike is personable and professional and always strives to deliver quality lessons. He’s really committed to providing lessons that are student focused. He has an excellent range of knowledge in terms of different genres and is open to teaching a variety of styles while ensuring you learn the basics in order to expand your skills. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mike if you’re looking for a great drum teacher.

I can tell Michael puts time into thinking about how to teach as well as what to teach. I always come away with a firm idea about what to practice and how that will be applied in the future. He is a trained musician and I feel I benefit from his experience of being a student of the drums. He is a friendly, upbeat person who sincerely wants to see me succeed. He answers questions without belaboring, and weaves interesting information about the greater drum culture into his answers. He keeps the class moving at a fun pace and challenges without intimidating. I am a beginner, and I highly recommend Michael as a drum teacher if you are just starting out, but I think his dedication to the art would make him a great teacher for any level.

With new customers, I like to start lessons by going over some basic hand patterns to establish student's ability and go from there.

I have an array of students in age, race, and creed. Music is the focus and I believe everyone can relate to it in one form or the other.
