FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the amount of work involved and where I am providing the services. An example would be: Caring for a dog in my home for a time period. Caring for a dog in the customers home. Caring and grooming for dog in my home. Providing numerous services for your dog in my home, such as, walking 3 times a day, special things they are used to doing (eating a bowl of wheat chex before bed), or administering medication. It just depends on what the customer is wanting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If I am chosen by the customer, I would set up a time to meet them. and their dog, in a public place or my home. This gives us all the opportunity to get to know each other. It also will be a time to introduce the customers dog to my goldendoodle to be sure they accept each other. This is if I am taking care of their dog in my home, which is my preference. Caring for others dogs in my home, I believe, is the best for the dogs and the customer. My home is very dog friendly and they quickly become a member of our family. I have a contract for customers to sign and a page of important information to fill out regarding their pet.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a a bachelors and masters degree in education. I taught high school for 17 years. My background was in behavior modification. I have a minor in psychology. This education and experience helps me when I am working with dogs. I am graduating from Ashford University in August of 2017 a masters in business administration, MBA. This education is a great help in building my business of working with animals. I have a dog/cat grooming certificate from Penn Foster Career College. I have been working part-time, and completed my internship with Macrae Park Animal Hospital.
