Matt is a great teacher. Very focused, and is keeping me on track! He teaches a wide variety of music, but it seems to me that we share a love of the same type of classic rock, and that comes through in his teaching.

Matt is an excellent instructor, his knowledge includes many musical genres. As a beginning bass guitar adult student without any musical training after only a few lessons, I can honestly say that I see growth in my abilities. I highly recommend Matt!

I started working with Matt several months ago and I've grown tremendously in my ability to improvise and play bar chords. This, in addition to improving my fingerstyle was my goal. Matt is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of music, but he flexes to the areas you want to focus on....you're the customer in his mind. I decided to focus on the basics vs moving too far into fingerstyle, and Matt was able to give me some simple theory that helped me build a foundation. This was critical for me, as I definitely wanted to understand, not just follow blindly.
My only recommendation for Matt, is that he keep some basic notes on his students, so he knows what their homework was and where they left off.
He's a very generous teacher, not focused on the clock, and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking to grow during their musical journey. He will remain my teacher and jam partner in the future.

I was very fortunate to have Matt as my guitar instructor. He taught me all of the necessary skills while simultaneously encouraging me to develop in my own personal direction- thanks in large part to his wide understanding of different genres of music and techniques. He's also a very personable guy! Couldn't have asked for a better teacher
