Park East Condo contracted with The Greening to clean and plant our flower beds as well as do a natural edge. Unfortunately, because of our sprinkler system no planting took place. However, the beds were cleaned out. Unfortunately, the beds were not treated and the weeds sprouted everywhere. I must have walked our property about 6 or 7 times with different people - showing what we wanted to have done. Unfortunately at The Greening, the communication between supervisor and workers, and department to department seems to be deficient. I think The Greening has done a commendable job in the city of Detroit. However, our experience with your commercial arm was less than stellar. We had certain expectations for a company that we contracted to provide service - efficency, quality, and professionalism. Fai was responsive, however, she doesn't do the work. Having been a management trainer for many years, I always told students that feedback is a gift. Most customer simply stop doing business with your company and are glad to tell others why. I hope this feedback is accepted in the spirit in which it is given.

The Greening of Detroit does landscaping work for a lot of Castle's properties. Many of our owners and tenants have high praise for them! Sometimes we'll start managing a property that needs a lot of work, and The Greening of Detroit has cleaned up some jungle-like backyards to make them look beautiful.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on what the job is, we like to do a site visit first. If it is a simple lawn mowing job most times we can google the address and look at the property and provide an estimate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our crews are trained by The Greening of Detroit. Our lawn crews go through an eight week training course. Our landscape team has 2 professional landscape designers on staff.
