- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I give a free, partial "get-to-know-you" lesson, just so the student and I can see if it's a good fit for both.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in music performance from Cal-State Fullerton, and I'm a founding member of the Pacific Symphony, which I performed with for 20 years, and a founding member of the Opera Pacific Orchestra, which I performed with for 22 years, till the ensemble went belly-up. I also played with the Laguna Pageant of the Masters pit orchestra for 6 years, and I've worked on hundreds of TV and movie soundtracks, including 2 Jason Bourne movies, 2 Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Jurassic World, Inside out, Lost, Alias, and many others. I've also had as many as 35 private students at one time, so I know how to relate to eager learners!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've had beginning violin students, from age 5 to 75, and everything in between. I've taught country, jazz, and rock violin, as well as classical, since I read chord charts and I improvise.
