Kenny was referred to us by a friend of a friend, and we decided to give him a shot since we were planning on a tight budget. While the price might have been "budget-status" what we got out of it certainly was not! The first day we met with him, he brought his wife along and we knew right away they were a good match for us. While Kenny is patient and more technical, his wife was more personal and knew how to put us at ease over many issues. His package included everything from engagement photos, a canvas print, more than enough hours to cover a full-day Chinese/American wedding, a second photographer as well as a complete set of all the wedding day photos.
Our engagement session was more fun than we both thought it would be! Both of us hate being the center of attention, but Kenny was great and made it seem like we were just hanging out in the city. He also brought his wife again and she was a gem! She fixed my hair and flyaways for every single shot! Kenny had some very cute ideas of his own and he was also open to us bringing new ideas to the table. There was one picture in particular we weren't a fan of when it was being taken, however, was one of the favorites when showing our friends!
We both feel that Kenny went above and beyond what his package provided. He was always attentive to our needs, and we were never afraid of expressing what we wanted to him. On the wedding day, Kenny was with me first thing in the morning and his assistant Adrian was with the boys. I was very afraid that our families would get pushy with their smartphones and DSLRs (which they kind of were..) but Kenny and Adrian were super patient about that and never lost their cool. It was also a huge plus that Adrian speaks Cantonese! One of my favorite things about these two besides their patience was that you didn't really notice they were there. The previous family wedding we attended had pushy photographers who acted like the stars of the show. The only thing I wish we had done differently would be a private photo session with just the groom and I. I'm not sure why that part slipped our minds, but we were just so caught up in the excitement and focused more on group photos.
All-in-all, we are happy with Kenny's services and would recommend him to other couples who are trying to avoid paying a premium for other photo services. Thanks for everything, Kenny!
