When my daughter started her lessons with Fiona, she knew nothing about guitar and was very shy. After a year and a half, she now knows different chords and the notes that make them up, she is able to read music, she has learned how to play songs of her choice, and has been given the confidence to play in front of others. My daughter has been in 2 recitals and loves the guitar. Fiona has been a great teacher and pays attention to what your child wants to learn. My daughter really connects with Fiona and enjoys playing alongside her during lessons.Apr 4, 2018
Fiona is an excellent music instructor. I was a beginner and Fiona was very patient and you could tell a seasoned professional. I quickly learned the basics and found myself learning my favorite songs. I enjoyed working with Fiona and will miss her a great deal.Apr 16, 2018
Fiona was able to work with my teen son who is a non traditional learner. She hand wrote their lessons to fit his learning style. He loves to play and other kids think that it's cool because he can play contemporary songs. After many years of not playing, she was the perfect fit to spark his enjoyment of piano again.Apr 7, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I ask for $40 for a 60 minute lesson or $20 for a 30 minute lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always ask students what kind of music they like to listen to and what kind of music they want to play. If a student has previous experience, I ask them to play something they’ve worked on before to get an idea of where they are in their learning.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a B.A. in music from Cornell and 37 postgraduate credits in music education from UMass Lowell. I have 24 years of experience on piano, 22 years on voice, 21 years on flute, and 14 years on guitar.
