Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I offer private piano lessons and coaching primarily for students wishing to study the classical repertoire. In addition, I enjoy working with students studying other styles (jazz, popular) who wish to strengthen their technique and musicianship. Something special I can offer students in my studio, is the opportunity to team up with other students to play music for four hands which improves sight-reading and ensemble skills. I regularly create workshops and performing opportunities for all of my students in a non-threatening and supportive environment, which helps to build confidence and camaraderie. I am happy to help students who need to prepare for auditions (competitions, music programs) and provide guidance and support through that period. I have a compassionate and patient approach and enjoy working with all ages and levels and with people from many different walks of life. I enjoy working with students to advance their technique and help solve technical problems, so that they can become more musical and overcome what they think are their musical and physical limitations. I like to help students push things to a new level, expand their listening skills and develop their 'musical ear' to help bring out their innate musicianship. I love to hear my students express themselves through their music. I also advocate for and support students who wish to compose and create their own music.

I took piano lessons from Val. She is amazing. I was an adult beginner. She does not teach a rote methodology. She determines your strengths and weaknesses and creates individualized instruction. I stopped taking lessons from her because she moved out of the area. I am very excited that she has moved back and I will be taking lessons from her again.

Valerie taught my daughter piano for several years. She did not use the one for all approach that other piano teachers often use. She fuels the creative process instead of squelching it. Her enthusiasm is contagious. I would highly recommend Valerie.

Valerie Siciliano is the best piano teacher I ever head. My daughters and I studied with her for many years before she relocated. She is a consummate professional, a gifted musician and teacher and a thoughtful, compassionate creative artist. She taught to my strengths and encouraged me as I developed my weaknesses. Listening to her play and teach are some of my fondest memories, and I still miss our weekly exploration of the keyboard and the technique and inner life necessary to play it. Additionally, her students enjoy opportunities to play and share their music with one another which heightens the entire experience.
