I've been frequenting this establishment for 2 years now. I started as a last resort. Wish I had done so sooner. It has absolutely changed my life. What an amazing experience. I forsee these appointments lasting for years to come. Thank you for all you've done. 😊

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Adults, Seniors, Athletes, Infants, Children, Pregnant Women, Cancer Patients, Disabled Individuals, PTSD Veterans, and more.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Licensure is required in the State of Maryland. Training varies so be sure to review the credentials, education and/or expertise of potential Massage Therapists - and while there are no guarantees that education, training and years in service will get you the best Massage Therapist - it is often a good indicator that have selected well a pool from which the one you will finally choose to be your next long-term Complementary and Alternative Medicine and holistic healthcare provider.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What are my goals for a massage session? Relaxation, pain relief, treatment for a specific condition, improved athletic or sports performance, stress relief, better sleep, etc.? Have I any health conditions which may prevent me from receiving massage? While there are very few contraindications to massage, blood clots, active infections and fever are three of them (though there can be more). Please consult with me if you have any questions about whether massage is right for you in the moment. Almost always, the answer is YES!, and for local conditions for which massage may not be right, it may be likely that we can avoid that area specifically, while completing the rest of the massage! What are my areas of concern? Is there anywhere in particular I wish to focus on? Any area to be avoided for medical or personal preference reasons? Have I an accurate idea of my health history and current prescriptions or botanical formulations or supplements I am taking and will I honestly present that to the therapist on the health intake form during my first session? Have I drank plenty of water prior to and after my massage to hydrate my tissues? Has it been at least a half hour since my last meal so as to have a more relaxing massage experience? Am I aware that it is important to communicate to the therapist when I do not prefer something including depth of massage strokes (a therapist can always go lighter but sometimes due to the nature of the tissue, may not be able to go as deep as is requested on occasion), temperature, lighting, music, etc., or if I am experiencing discomfort in muscles that are being worked beyond my personal threshold of pain? Am I aware that I cannot be seen for massage if there are current illicit drugs or alcohol in my system? Am I aware the proper draping law and ethics will be utilized at all times and that a professional Massage Therapist will never expose genitals or breasts, or any other areas you identify as not wanting exposed. Only the area the therapist is working on will be exposed during professional massage. May I tip a Massage Therapist for good service? Yes! While it is never required - we surely do appreciate it. : )
