I was in a difficult, frustrated situation, after having had 2 no-shows from a different company. When I reached out to Mermaid Engineering via ThumbTack, I received a response in less than an hour and was on the phone talking with Paul about the service work I needed. He was able to "soft commit" to having someone out the same day, and confirmed about 90 minutes later. He called to let me know he was 20 minutes away, and then provided pictures and a follow up call on what work was done. This was, by far, the best experience I've had with a Professional Services provider, and can't speak highly enough about the quality of work, communication, and overall experience. I would highly recommend Paul and Mermaid Engineering!

My first and only experience with Eric Reeves thus far was very positive… He called to schedule the appointment as promised and we agreed to a mutually convenient time… He also called 20 minutes before the agreed to time to let me know he was on his way… He was very friendly, courteous and professional in his approach to the job which he successfully completed in a timely manner… When I have a need for a handyman services in the future, I will call your company and ask for Eric’s help…

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We currently charge $75.00 per hour for all handyman services! $25 for a trip charge within 5-25 miles and a $50 trip charge may apply to travel greater than 26-50 miles, from our Qualified technicians. . Please note there is a $25.00 fee for cancellations!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We communicate with our customers to get their name, address, phone number and email (for billing). We then create an electronic work order so the technician can call the customer to answer questions and schedule an appointment!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Colorado Technical University with an Associates Degree in Business Science with honors in 2013. I have over 35 years of marine, residential and commercial construction and mechanic experience. We also specialize in Drone videos and survey services.
