FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't. Depending on what I think the assignment is going to take me, I will generally have variations in my pricing. I'm very particular so I need to understand the scope of a project before I can quote it. However, generally speaking for photography and without retouching or extensive travel or equipment my rates are generally $75 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially we will have a phone or in person meeting to discuss the project and see if we are a good fit. We can use email or text to set up a meeting but I find an either in person or phone meeting brings out more specifics. Let's face it, we've all messed something up during a text message chat :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been photographing seriously for 5 years. I've belonged to numerous industry organizations, attended many seminars, read a lot and experimenting. Being able to try new things has been my most educational tool. Sometimes if something it completely new I will offer my services at a discounted rate because it may be something I've wanted to try.
