I needed a new bath exhaust fan installed. Johnmark was very easy to work with, prompt and professional and responsive to emails and texts. He kept us in the know as he worked on our project and took care to get the new fan and timer installed correctly despite a previous owners’ poor installation. It took longer than he initially expected but that was the result of finding hidden problems in the ceiling/wall (fan wasn’t properly vented). He was conscientious about the time and how much he was billing us for. He seemed eager to get everything working right and listened to what we want. I would definitely hire him again for any little projects or odd things needing fixing!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in music performance and the son of a math teacher. I can work with my hands with extreme precision and detail.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started glazing and painting Windows 40 hrs a week in 2010 and my boss decided to show me how to do everything. Electrical, cabinet and sink installation, floor carpentry, mudding and drywall, cement work etc. I started to watch a lot of this old house, framing videos, and diy videos and have had the opportunity to do it at work and home.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked in the Chicago and Madison areas for property managers, and have noticed that I do work that is on par or better than individual contractors and am excited for developing my client base.
