- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Almost all of my services including lessons are $60/hr. Recording is offered on an audition basis at $100/hr. Composition is $1000/minute of finished music.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Step one is assessing where a student is at and identifying their short and long term goals. For performance students, we find a piece of music that they can get excited about learning and then we dig in. For composition students, I audition current work, critique and make suggestions. If there is no existing work, we write a song together! I think one of the best ways to learn to write is through collaboration with an experienced composer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I studied music in college where I also tutored other music students and did some assisting teaching. I was an employee of the Seattle School of Rock where I taught lessons, directed shows and camps, and gave workshops on various subjects. I've been writing, recording, and performing music for over 20 years.
