Introduction: Lessons with purpose, direction, and application With, Practical Guitar Lessons I aim to teach students concepts that are immediately applicable in real musical settings. Are you tired of running exercises and theory worksheets without really knowing why? Are you having a difficult time retaining things that you learn on the guitar? As a professional session guitarist, as well as an alumni of Berklee College of Music, I have spent years developing my playing in real life musical settings. I can show you how to not only learn the instrument, but learn the skills needed to succeed at the jam session, on stage, or in the studio. My teaching method centers around APPLICATION. I want to teach you big concepts and theory, but it will always come through the lens of music you know and love. Why study with Dylan?​ A) I'm not just a professional guitar teacher. I'm a real-life working guitarist that performs and does studio work for a living. I don't just teach for a paycheck (I don't need to) - I teach because I love it, and want to help make your journey on the guitar easier and more enjoyable. ​ B) Not only do I have years of real-world performance experience - I also have the training and degree to back it up. I've studied with some of the best guitarists around, at some of the world's top institutions. I know my stuff, and I know how to apply it in the real world. C) I starting teaching guitar to friends of my family as a teenager, and have never stopped! Between my real-world experience, academic training, and teaching experience, I'm confident that I can work with you to become the guitarist you want to be.
