Ray Martinez was contracted to perform a major renovation of our home in Amarillo, Texas. The1,652 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, 2 bath home had been rented out for 10 years and required both structural and cosmetic renovation. Ray went through the home with us and provided a labor only bid, with us supplying materials and plumbing and electrical sub-contractors. The project was estimated at 12 weeks, with a weekly draw on labor paid each week. The project was completed in 16 weeks, which was an acceptable variance due to travel between El Paso, TX and Amarillo, TX and 2 weeks requested by Ray for personal reasons. The scope of work was adhered to and daily communication addressing changes and unforeseen complications kept a good working relationship. Ray and his team worked well with other trades on this project, and on several occasions the sub-contractors complimented Ray's work ethic and professionalism. This project included creating an open floor plan in the living and dining room by removing walls and installing new header beam, new tile backsplash and cabinet refinishing in the kitchen, installation of new kitchen appliances, master bath rebuild with stone shower and fixtures, guest bath rebuild with stone tub enclosure and fixtures, installation of new door molding throughout, installation of 6 new interior doors, 2 sliding glass closet doors, and 2 exterior doors. All walls and ceilings were repaired and painted. All doors and millwork were painted. Ceiling fans and light fixtures were installed in all rooms. The exterior eaves, soffit, fascia were all painted. Built out and painted a ceiling for a 30' x 15' covered patio. Ray respected our home like it was his. His work area was cleaned every evening and in many cases was cleaner than I could have kept it. There was some minor painting overspray that had to be cleaned up for a few weeks, but nothing I couldn't live with. I always trusted that if Ray said it would get done, it would. I would have no hesitation in having Ray work in my home. In fact, there are some projects that we could not finish on this contract that I will have Ray do for us.

Ray and his brother tiled my front and back porch. It was a difficult job since they had to remove old tiles first. Also, they had to lay an aluminum edge where the tiles did not abut against walls. Very tedious workers.
