Introduction: My name is Jen Sargent and I have been a professional photographer for over 10 years. I am located right outside of Ellsworth, Maine and I am happy to commute to your favorite spot to do your images. I specialize in Family Portraits throughout the generations: From birth to marriage and beyond. When I capture your special day, I strive to capture the emotions and feelings of the day through photographs that you can treasure for years. Jen was so great to work with. She worked really well with my kids who were cranky at times and we still managed to get really beautiful pictures. She captures moments that are so special. I was incredibly happy with my experience using her as my photographer, and I have recommended her to anyone I know who needs pictures taken!

Jen responded to a very last minute plea for a senior photo session. She suggested a setting that was perfect for my son and spent a long time making sure he was comfortable and had plenty of proofs to choose from. She also included a few family shots which I treasure. Jen is reasonably priced and goes the extra mile for her customers.

She is very good with children who aren't the most find of being photographed. Very patient and willing to move locations and props around to give us a great photoshoot! Will be using Latona Photography again!!

My experience with Jen was a wonderful one. She has done wedding photos and maturity photos for me as well, and they all came out great and she took her time editing them and she was affordable not to expensive! She makes the sessions fun and laughs! I just have a blast with we do pictures! I highly recommend her to anyone for pictures!

Jen is fabulous! Days before leaving Minnesota for a long weekend in Maine, we made a last minute decision to take our daughter's senior pictures and some family photos in Bar Harbor before our daughter leaves for college. We were on a tight schedule with several preplanned activities and only had an hour to spare for pictures, as we were only going to be in the area for a day. Jen is so lovely and kind, she opened up her schedule to meet with us and recommended a fantastic location. It was a beautiful October day and the pictures are amazing! Jen's prices are very reasonable; she was flexible and accommodating and put everyone at ease. We couldn't be more thrilled with the photos and the experience! We would highly recommend her.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I email my customers back with a list of questions to see what exactly they are looking for. I provide a phone number so customers can call or text me with any questions regarding the photos I have done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Biology with a minor in Art. I have worked at a few different art galleries in the area and have had my work hung at two galleries. I have been featured in Maine. magazine with the Kennebunkport Fine Art Festival and I do a lot of work with non-profit organizations.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography has always been a passion of mine. I started with a film camera in grammer school and have been hooked ever since. A dear friend asked me to photograph her wedding 10 years ago, and I happily accepted the offer. From there, it snowballed and became much more than just a hobby.
