FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with my customers and adjust rates accordingly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Correspond with the customer via Thumbtack and text messaging. Schedule a phone call. Meet with customer if necessary. Send customer paperwork. If it is part of the price/project, scout a location with the customer. If part of the price/project, scout up to three locations with the customer. Arrive early to the event, up to an hour early if possible. Photograph the event. Immediately after the event, provide the customer with a USB drive containing all the images. Follow up with customers after an event to see if they want prints or T-shirts. If yes, we upload the images to our website and provide a password for the customer to access the images and place orders. Customers can purchase images printed on T-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, aprons, etc from the business website. Customers can purchase print packages (wallets, 5x7s, 8x10s, etc) from the business website. We perform editing and cropping if the customer follows up and requests it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My first photography lesson was from a professional who took me downtown at ngiht and taught me how to shoot in the dark, in Manual mode, without a flash. It is the most difficult type of photography for a beginner to do because one must learn immediately how to use the camera and not simply point and shoot. From there I gravitated to photographing concerts because it is similar to night photography. I also worked as an assistant photographer at weddings and learned how to pose people and how to be creative and fun without wasting time. I also photographed many corporate events during my working in corporate America as a business analyst and technical writer.
