Introduction: I'm a CERTIFIED TEACHER and taught in the public schools for 11 years. I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and drums for over 25 years. You choose the SONGS YOU WANT TO LEARN. PRICES Group Jams - $25 / Hour 30 Minutes - $38 45 Minutes - $50 Hourly Rate - $62 Accelerated Guitar - $35 *Discounts available if you buy extra lessons Though individual lessons offer a great opportunity for growth and learning, especially for students that are beginners, I also prioritize Jam Bands and Group Lessons because research shows that learning music in a group setting is very beneficial. Group Lessons are an ongoing opportunity to learn songs and theory with other students. In these settings, students learn the value and skill of playing with other musicians and have lots of fun doing it. I am also a LIVE MUSIC PERFORMER and often have my students play with me at local restaurants and coffee shops if they would like to. I truly enjoy teaching. Teaching music is so so much FUN! And it should be fun for the students to learn. Between lessons, students can view my YOUTUBE CHANNEL for music tutorials. I would love to start lessons with you soon!!!

Kevin is an amazing instructor! 6 months ago I picked up the guitar for the very first time and a few nights ago I played a song with Kevin at one of his gigs. He tailors each lesson so that you're always having fun and always engaged. He plays songs that you're interested in learning, which is a huge in keeping my interest and prevents me from getting bored. I never thought I'd play in front of a crowd but with Kevin's help, I did it, and I can't wait to do it again!

I am so glad that I started taking lessons with Kevin. I really enjoy his teaching style, and how he helps you learn songs that you want to learn and already enjoy listening to. He provides reasonable and attainable goals after each lesson, which has helped me with practicing between each lesson. I would highly recommend him for anyone that is interested in learning guitar.

My daughter really enjoys her guitar lessons. It's the right mix of skill development and working on songs she wants to learn. Also he offers great opportunities to play in public and with other people.

Kevin has been a great instructor for my son. He is very relatable to kids and makes guitar fun. He is very organized, tracks progress and gives a quick status update at the end of each lesson. And it's so convenient to have him come to our home! Everyone wins!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
LEARNING GUITAR OR DRUMS IS FUN! After seeing a student's personal skill level, we find songs that will work for them. Students will learn songs they enjoy tailored to play at their current skill level. I always encourage questions. I am available to help with student questions about practice throughout the week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Elementary Education and am a certified teacher here in Colorado. I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years and drums for over 25 years. I led worship at my church for over 5 years and have been a part of several different worship teams and bands. In addition to teaching guitar and drum lessons, I play several gigs a month at various venues in Denver.
