I started taking lessons with Josh my sophomore year of high school, and ended them the summer before my senior year of high school. Through taking lessons with Josh he was able to drastically help me improve my abilities on clarinet in a reasonable amount of time and at an affordable price, while encouraging me to improve the entire time I was given lessons. I highly recommend Josh Goo for private clarinet lessons.

I enjoyed my time under Josh's instruction thoroughly, he was inexpensive with valueless knowledge and I hope to work with him again someday!

Josh is a fantastic clarinet teacher, and I highly recommend him as an instructor for both adults and youth. I’ve been taking adult clarinet lessons with Josh for about six months now, and I have found him to be very approachable and professional. Josh provides terrific instruction on all aspects of clarinet music and clarinet performance.

Josh is not only a great clarinet player, musician, but also he knows how to teach. In past, I had teachers who were great artist, but had no talent in teaching.

Clarinet Lessons (for adults)

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge $80/hour and a $10 travel fee if I am coming to you. Any length less than an hour is just a division of the $80 (30min.=$40, 45min.=$60, etc.)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically spend the first lesson getting to know you and your experience, and then from there I come up with a lesson plan to help you reach your goals. Every student's lessons are highly customized to their needs and goals, so that every student gets the most out of their lessons.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am currently pursuing my Master's in Clarinet Performance at Northwestern University.
