About this pro

How does your business stand out?

As both a videographer and photographer I'm skilledI at both. I prefer a low energy setting and want my clients comfortable with not only my work, but working with me as well. For both photos and video capture I will travel to your preferred location, but I'm unable to for any video editing. For those boudoir clients; I have a variety of lingerie choices and associated props I can bring. Whether its in the comfort of your own home or some other place you select for the shoot, it will be up to each person to decide as I do not use a studio. For the real estate needs I use a DSLR for the stills and several other tools including a drone and steady cam, both capable of 4K (ultra high definition) on a balanced gimbal giving a superior stable platform. I'm a licensed and insured pilot with an FAA (Certificate Of Authorization) Section 333 approval for a commercial drone flights. All drone flights subject to weather and controlling agency (if any) approval. If it's a video for personal use, I like to do creative things that will allow me to use nature, antiquity, architecture and present it in an eye-appealing way set to music. I do have a LOT of raw footage choices available.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I enjoy meeting and working with people, even collaborating on projects using the tools I have to capture the image that will make someone, or something stand out. Whether it's real estate, or even something personal and artistic, I enjoy it.

    Boudoir Shoot
I wanted to have some boudoir photos taken, so I met up with Steve at a studio in Bellingham. I was really nervous, but he was very kind and professional and made it as comfortable as possible, and I ended up getting some really nice photos. I would definitely recommend him for any of your photography needs.

Thanks so much Tabitha for your review. Its common for someone to be nervous the first time and working together I believe you were able to overcome your nervousness as we progressed through the shoot. Glad to have you as a customer and hope to work with you again perhaps.

    My good photo memory
I wanted someone to take some nice boudoir photos of me for my good memory. He was the right person. I think he has good taste in beauty of nature. He could pull nice parts from inside of me. I haven't even noticed them myself. I was feeling very comfortable while doing the photo shoot with him. I'm really satisfied with his photo work. I could make the wonderful memories. Thank you very much Yumi from Japan.

After talking with you Yumi for a little while prior to us meeting I was able to visualize what you wanted.... A touch of class! You did very well for your first time and I'm so happy that I was able to collaborate with you on this project. Together I believe we did very well and I'm glad you liked the results.

It was great working with Leonardo on this project. He explained his vision and knew very well what he wanted and had taken great steps to be prepared for the shoot taking command of each detail to make things easier for the both of us. Its not often I have someone do so much in preparation and it was greatly appreciated. I hope to work with you again soon Leonardo.

This was a fun project to do with you Leigh. You had taken great measures to plan what you wanted, not only having your desired costumes preselected, but the location you selected was an excellent choice! You was fun to work with and I'd very much enjoy the chance to work with you again.

Steve is an excellent teacher. He explained very clearly and thoroughly. He took me to the places where I could practice using my new camera and how to capture sceneries at the right angles. He is also very knowledgable.
    Steve W. Mar 28, 2017

I always enjoy working with someone wanting to learn photography. Thanks Eva.

Working with Steve has been a great experience. He was very fun and comfortable to work with. He also tells funny stories/jokes that made me smile naturally, so he could capture great photos. He's quite a professional photographer. I Highly recommend his services.

It was fun working with you Fe. Not only are we personal friends, but you've helped me too by being a good sport with my nagging you to be my model. Thanks!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If I respond to your bid with a quote, then it will override the prices shown on my personal website. For other inquiries, please refer to my personal website for a detailed price list.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My preference is an email or text exchange initially and a hopefully meet up at a place central to both of us and public. I prefer a coffee shop vs. a bar or a mutually agreed location. If you're a woman and feel more comfortable bringing a friend along, do so! I want you to feel safe when meeting me for the first time. Once we meet, I want to know the specifics of your project and see how my services can fit in. If you're wanting to hire me for a boudoir shoot, then you'll have to provide the setting at your home OR other place (hotel room) at your expense. I also enjoy outdoor shoots weather dependent. For real estate; I just need to know the obvious specifics. Drone work will be dependent upon several factors, weather, safety, and proximity to off limit sites such as airports and stadiums following the FAA guidelines. If you want a video for your real estate project and wish to have a voice over narration of the property, then follow up work will be needed in the editing process. Raw footage is all I collect on my initial visit to the address. Any narration can be done once the footage is assembled.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing video work for approximately 25 years starting out as a camera operator and later editing my own work with Apple certified training in Final Cut Pro. I have also taken several classes on DSLR use and composition offered by Everett Community College and Kenmore Cameras.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began in the late 80's working on a team of camera operators at various airshows and later into sporting and music events. As I became more experienced I have moved into live webcasts and including 3 camera shoots for DVD productions of school musical shows and other live webcasts events.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of individuals over the years and I am very "customer first" oriented.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I thoroughly enjoy getting out in nature and exploring as well as working with models. I have a keen interest in antiquity and love highlighting some forgotten abandoned homestead and farm implements from years gone by. This particular project blended the best of both highlighting the beauty of a lady along with a lost and forgotten homestead hidden in the vast wheat fields of eastern Washington. Its linked to this website and titled; The Illumination of Beauty.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you like what you've seen of my samples, let me hear from you. I ask that you share some of your own ideas and lets see if we can make something spectacular together!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Concept, viewing audience, personal ideas, locations, etc.
