FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each teacher in fp Music Academy has their own rate. The reason for this is simple: you get what you pay for. You pay more for lessons from a highly-experienced teacher, and you will get more from those lessons. We offer lessons in your home or one-on-one online as well as lessons in one of our studios. You may pay a little more for lessons in your home, but the convenience is well worth it for some of our students! Lesson scheduling is flexible from the start and can change from week to week to accommodate your busy schedule. Lessons are usually prepurchased in blocks of 4, but can be purchased individually. When you order a block of 4 lessons, those lessons are valid for 40 days - this gives you flexibility in case of illness, travel, or other considerations - and each lesson in placed on the schedule at the time of order. You get free calendar invites for each lesson scheduled, and free text and email reminders an hour before each lesson. Piano tuning is offered through our Fairfax Piano studio and is a $110 flat rate no matter the type or age of the piano. If the piano needs additional service, you will be informed of its need and you will be given the option to have it repaired before any work is done. The serial number of your piano is kept on file, so if it needs parts at a later time, a simple call to Fairfax Piano can start that process without having to schedule a separate visit.
