stephon was awesome. i wanted a breakfast bar for my kitchen. Stephon was the only person on thumbtack that came to the home right away, gave a free estimate, then returned to show me the color he chose to ensure it fit our needs then returned two days later to install a custom cut butcher block top. It was a mothers day gift for my wife and she absolutely loved it. thank you and i will be using stephon again.

We highly recommend S&A Contracting for house renovations. From our first phone call Stephon arranged a time to visit us for an estimate. We were updating our bathroom fixtures and needed wallpaper removed from a bedroom with plaster walls and then painted. His estimate was the exact price we paid. Stephon treats your home as if it is his home. His work area was cleaned up each evening and Stephon’s work was professional in every way. Our home is over 100 years old, Stephon was able to smooth the plaster walls and adjust the new bathroom vanity to a level position. Stephon has all the characteristics we look for in a contractor; professionalism, quality of workmanship and great communication skills! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my pricing according to what's fair. Not every job is the same or conditions of the job the same. So I base of what prices I can get and I always work on trying to get my prices down the best I can for every client I come across.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do my best to gain their trust because it's a new relationship that is starting. I also understand that finding a good contractor can be difficult at times so I do my best to limit how many times you have to search for a contractor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an apprentice in the field since I was 14 helping my father with his renovations. Then stepped out to perfect my craft by working with a different company that specialized in Luxury renovations with high end finishes. Then with another company to learn how to manage the projects I would be taking on along with running a crew. Then back to my father's company to expand and redevelop how we would grow the family business.
