About this pro
I hold a Master's Degree in music education and am one of the only teachers to provide in person and fully online music lessons and the ability to record your own material in a fully operational music studio. My teaching method is a multi-faceted approach that includes performing, writing, history of music and listening skills. Appropriate key drills and finger/voice strengthening is also covered. Please note: I only use my own personal booking system through my website to book lessons. We may make initial contact here on Thumbtack, but for the booking process please refer to my website. My real-time availability can be found there as well as many other resources. Also, while you're on my website, please read and refer to my procedures and policies. First and foremost, music is my passion. I love working with all types of people to develop an education plan and work on goals to improve their musical abilities. Everyone is able to perform and understand music to its core.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Prices are standardized on my website. Please see my website for further details on pricing. There are no discounts or fees of any kind. Lessons can be booked in blocks by paying ahead or can be paid lesson-by-lesson on my website or in person. I accept cash or debit/credit in person. Included in the price is one lesson in which I am able to come to your location or you are invited to come to our studio. Future lessons can be booked directly on my website or in person on either a weekly, twice weekly or bi-weekly basis. All basic materials are included in the price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will assess a student's needs according to their level of playing or singing. Each student will be assumed to be a beginner and I will go through the basics of playing and singing to determine if he or she has had prior knowledge. If so, we will construct a strategy to make each lesson effective so the student is able to achieve the most out of each lesson's activities. I teach from a wide variety of sources and use different methods to teach musical ideas. I continue to learn about new methods and ways of teaching the art of music. I work with my students to determine the best learning path for their individual needs being mindful of their strengths and how to compassionately encourage musical growth. An initial evaluation of goals and how to improve your musical ability will be discussed weekly.
