- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Dog Boarding: $25 per night. I'm comfortable taking care of dogs who are: small (1-15 lbs), medium (15-40 lbs), large (41-100 lbs), giant (100+ lbs). House Sitting: $25 per night. I'm comfortable taking care of dogs who are: small (1-15 lbs), medium (15-40 lbs), large (41-100 lbs), giant (100+ lbs). Drop-In Visits: $12 per visit. I'm comfortable taking care of dogs who are: small (1-15 lbs), medium (15-40 lbs), large (41-100 lbs), giant (100+ lbs). Dog Walking: $15 per walk. I'm comfortable taking care of dogs who are: small (1-15 lbs), medium (15-40 lbs), large (41-100 lbs), giant (100+ lbs).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I meet with a new client either at their home, or a guaranteed upon location. I am introduced to their dog and we discuss his/her needs. If their dog is dog-friendly, I bring my dog and we let the two dogs meet either on the sidewalk or walk down to an open field/park to be introduced and play. If their dog is not dog-friendly, I do not bring my dog. For boarding, I keep them separated (my dog stays in the spare bedroom where he normally sleeps with the dog locked to avoid all contact.)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love for dogs attracted me to this type of work. Treating pets as family members, and caring for them as such, is extremely important to me.
