Introduction: Violin lessons are such a wonderful gift to your child. They are the perfect vehicle for learning creativity, self-expression, discipline, consistency, and the value and rewards of hard work.
Let me tell you a bit about me and my studio. I have a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in violin performance and I am a certified Suzuki teacher. I continue my teacher training every year in order to have the best possible tools to help your child.
I teach my studio of 30 students in my home in Farmington.
My new violinists begin lessons with me in groups of three to five students. The parent-facilitators of the group receive a 10% discount every month that the students they referred register for lessons.
Each of my students has a weekly 60-minute group lesson with two to four other students of their age and ability. The group lesson format is important for motivation because they get the opportunity to play with their peers and have fun! We play theory games and have a great time together. The kids really love it.
One other thing… Traditional lessons can be very lonely. Group lessons are an efficient way of doing review and also gives kids a sense of camaraderie. The social environment also triggers different kinds of learning.
I love when my students start being able to problem-solve for themselves, it's such a valuable skill in every aspect of their lives. I love seeing these kids every week, often for years, it's a wonderful journey that I would love to share with you and your child!
