Working with Sands Mobile was such a wise decision for me. Coming onto Thumbtack to find my wedding DJ, I was a bit apprehensive. I put in the quotes request and got a few results back. When I looked at Sands Mobile, at first I wondered about the not-so recent reviews - they were positive but not all very recent. However, I still felt prompted to set up a phone call with him. When I spoke to Ryan on the phone, I instantly felt like he was the right person for the job. I reside 10 hours away in another state, but chose to have my wedding in Raleigh, NC which is where my husband is from. When I came to check out venue options, I set up meetings while I was in town and Ryan was right on time and present, even though he was traveling from over an hour away. He was also present for the wedding rehearsal the day before and was on time and on point for my Sunday morning wedding. The most impressive thing about Ryan is that he truly is a man of integrity. As a bride, I was so busy sending final payments to everyone and forgot how much of a deposit I gave to him. I ended up over paying him without knowing. He could have easily stayed quiet about it, but he immediately alerted me to my over-payment and refunded the excessive money. I sincerely appreciated him doing this because I may not have discovered this error in the midst of the chaos of a wedding weekend. He was very attentive and helped to engage the crowd. He played a great selection of music and got everyone up and dancing. Several of my guests made comments about Ryan as a person and as the DJ; people just really liked him and his work. I am so grateful that I took a chance on Sands Mobile. If I do an event in the future in Raleigh, NC, I will look for him again. Him and his right hand woman were a lovely team helping to make my day very special.

DJ Sands played music for our office holiday party and did an excellent job! He was on time (early even), professional, and when something out of his control went wrong with his music, he was calm and had a quick solution that did not affect the part at all. He even played music during dinner without us asking him to! I would definitely recommend DJ Sands to anyone out there looking for a professional and friendly DJ.

Well, there is nothing but good things to say. Very Professional, Punctual, Entertaining Playlist and Personable DJ. Ryan was AWESOME! He was very well prepared and did a wonderful job at keeping the evening flowing. He was very nice, even when my grandfather decided to start hoarding microphones. He has an excellent music selection and the karaoke options he had were endless. His set up was great as well (lights and screens). Again it was a pleasure to work with him. THANK YOU!!!! I would DEFINITELY hire Ryan again.

I do not have a standard pricing system. I charge an hourly rate which is based on the type of event and the equipment needed.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up around music. I used to play in the band when I was younger and my oldest brother is a DJ also. Watching and listening to him is what really got me interested in DJing.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked clubs, corporate events, military balls, elementary and high school events, weddings, comedy shows and house parties.
