Usually I hate having contractors come out to my home to do repairs. . . Or anything. You hear so many horror stories, and I've had them too. But I called Honest Michigan Exteriors and Chase came out, and he was pleasant, articulate, professional, and not pushy ( He told me a couple times he makes an effort not be!). I decided to have him replace our roof and a couple of windows, and everything thing went well, everything was clean up and looked good afterwards. Any services they offer, ill use them again for.Mar 13, 2017
Very professional! Chase came out on short-notice after the strong winds damaged my roof just recently. He was very quick, and didn't try to sell me a whole new roof. He accurately diagnosed the problem with the damage on my roof, and immediately fixed it in no time! Very quick service, and definitely honest!Mar 12, 2017
We were concerned about having a contractor come to our home because you hear so many horror stories about contractors and especially roofers, but we were very luck to have Chase come out. We were referred by a friend to Honest Michigan Exteriors so we gave them a call. The owner, Chase, came out, took a detailed assessment of our roof, and answered a lot of questions and walked us through everything. He was never pushy or trying to "close" us, he seemed like he just wanted to do an HONEST job. They did a great job and cleaned up well, would definitely use him again.Mar 11, 2017
We had missing and loose shingles. We had contacted a few roofing companies. For what we needed done, HME offered us the best price. Mr Houfek completed the work in a timely manner and made sure everything was cleaned up after the work was done. We are very happy with the work on our home and would definitely recommend HME.Mar 9, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We do have standard pricing, however, due to the varying aspects of roofing, there is a broad range of pricing for roofs. The best broad pricing is $2.25 - $4.00 per square foot of roofing. This depends on layers of roofing, roof deck condition, roof pitch, material desired, quantity of chimneys and skylights, and how many faces of the roof there are. If you'd like an "At-a-Glace" price go to our website, honestmichiganexteriors.com, and use our "At-a-Glace" request. By providing your address and answering a few simple questions, we can provided a much more accurate price!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First, we usually make contact over the phone to discuss what needs they have to make sure that it's something that we can help them with. Then we find out a good time for us to come out and meet with them and go over the work that may need to be done. Once we've identified any issues, we talk about the various ways to solve the problems that they have. We like to have options based on peoples budgets and desires. This is a remodeling service and there are no "One size fits all" approaches. Additionally, we want to make sure that the service you want is one that is necessary and that you won't be doing something that isn't warranted just yet. Once those decisions have been made, we take care of everything to make the process as easy as possible for you, from start to finish. And once you say you are completely satisfied, we accept final payment and consider the job finished. For roof issues, we check back every year or two to make sure that the install and materials are holding up as expected! We like to say, "We own your roof!"
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Chase and the two top installers have over 40 years combined experience!
