Tracy was the first in home groomer who specializes in cat's that I found. She had the special skills to manage cats. We have 3 Persian cat's who we take to groomers in PA. Our cat's hate the barking dogs and must spend the entire day at the groomers. Tracy comes to your home cuddled the 🐈 while shaving and bathing. Tracy is a sweetheart and we will use her again when we return to FL.

    Not what I expected.
I needed my cat groomed. I was expecting a person in a mobile pet grooming van. She showed up in her car and was going to groom my cat in the bathroom. My cat did not cooperate so tge grooming never happened. I think the groomer is probably good at her job, but not in my house.

Per our in-person conversation once I met your large kitty, we agreed it is always best to have nervous or aggressive cats already enclosed in the bathroom before the groomer arrives. Since your kitty would not even allow you to pick her up without peeing or defecating or screaming in protest, it was in her best interest to not perform anything more stressful. I hope you were able to discuss her reaction to a stranger in the house with your vet to make sure she is 100% healthy enough to be groomed safely at home. it was very nice to meet you both however, and should you need me in the future I would be happy to help you. Thank you for the feedback.

Tracy is the best cat groomer, a real professional.
Tracy is the perfect cat groomer. She followed up on appointment reminders, arrived on time, fully prepared with everything she needed. She was pleasant, professional, and did not waste any time once here. She prioritized which cat to do first based on bathing needs versus grooming/ knot removal/ dematting. She was efficient, chatted with each cat, great at reassuring them and praising them for their cooperation. It was her first time grooming my two cats so she took a few minutes to get their names, grooming quirks, etc but then straight to work. One of my cats had been quite sick the two days before and really needed a bath to clean up her ' back end' and get some tough knots out. She was very careful with water temperature, a quick towel dry then wrapping her immediately in a dry towel to be held while she dried some more, then she finished grooming, cleaning ears, etc. The second kitty is super great all the time EXCEPT when anyone tries to brush her in any way. Then she becomes a snarling clawing beast. No problem for Tracy. She was able to get out numerous tough embedded knots, talked reassuringly to her the whole time. All I can say, is that Tracy is THE BEST cat groomer ever. She is patient and reassuring with the cats, works efficiently, and gets a very difficult job done with a smile. Cats were no worse for wear after what would normally be a huge fight. But she knows how to work with them like a pro. I have already booked my next appointment with her. I am 100% happy with Tracy and the results. Sandra McLean

    Woody Gets His First Haircut
It was our first experience in two ways: (1) the first real gooming for our cat, a Maine Coon, that at age 18 months, weighed a hefty 18 pounds and did not care to be groomed; (2) the groomer came to our house - - which was a big first for us. The grooming took place in the laundry room and it was very clean when th groomer was finished. Our cat looked fine and we were quite happy with the results.

Highly recommended - Tracy is awesome!
Tracy did an excellent job giving our senior Persian cat a lion's cut. She was matted/pelted and Tracy knew exactly how to handle her and was extremely careful. We appreciated the time she took throughout the entire process, giving our cat breaks when needed. Setting up the appointment was easy and Tracy was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We are looking forward to continuing to use Tracy and I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

Booking the appointment was simple and I was able to have ruff2ritz to schedule an appointment to come out right away. Arrived on time. She was great handling my cats very gentle. Had my two cats shaved as she did a great job. They didn't get knicked at all and seemed very happy to have less fur in the summer heat. Ruff2ritz was pretty quick about an hour a cat and cleaned up when done. I will definitely be using her again and highly recommend. Prior to their hair cuts they had been shedding really bad. Having them shaved has resolved this issue for us. I had never had this done before but recommend to any one who is having this issue! Will now periodically be getting them groomed.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Obtaining background health and grooming history of the animal to ensure maximum safety and expectations.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Prices are variable. A pet parent needs to understand that comfort of home grooming services are a luxury that will cost approximately $25 or more than your typical salon. Housecall has the benefit of assuring more flexibility and availability between provider and owner, but more importantly your pet is being provided quality start to finish service. This is a valuable asset for busy working folks, those pets that stress easily, or those that stay at or work from home. The expenses your groomer incurs for getting to your home, as well as grooming fewer animals per day is well worth the price of a happy and healthy cat.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Early on Tracy had always had a soft heart for animals, enticing her parents to own just about every kind of pet you could think of. From goldfish to hermit crabs, hamsters, rabbits, guniea pigs, birds, cats and dogs, she was always caring for and learning about each and every one of them. In her twenties her pets grew in size to include goats and horses, and she dreamed of becoming a horse groomer and Olympic Jumper in the Equestrian Games. Horses have been and always will be her favorite animal. Tracy's passion and love for catering to the well-being of her pets finally found its home after being laid off from her Graphic Design career. She enrolled in and graduated from the Institute of Technical Arts in Florida in 2014, where she studied the art of professional pet styling and completed the 900 hour course with honors! She honed her techniques through mentors while grooming both in mobile salons at client's homes, as well brick and mortar establishments. Shortly thereafter she established Ruff2Ritz Grooming and began seeing clients out of her converted garage in Port Orange, FL. To stay current with latest grooming fashions and trends, as well as improving skills and expertise, Tracy attends seminars, workshops and tradeshows seasonally. After relocating from the Florida east coast, Tracy has taken her business mobile, achieving ongoing success serving her feline and canine clients. Wishing to always offer more to her loyal clientele, Tracy is studying to become a Certified Feline Master Groomer. Your groomer is Canine/Feline CPR & First Aid Certified by: American Red Cross - Orlando FL 2013 PetTech® - Atlanta GA 2015
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Absolutely DO NOT use price alone when determining who to hire when it involves the well-being of your family member. You need to ask questions, see a portfolio, and look up reviews from previous customers.
