Molding or baseboards,
I hired Tim to install exterior window shutters after my original shutters were damaged in the rain. Tim was quick to respond to all messages and the project was scheduled that same week. Tim showed up at the scheduled time and completed the project in a timely manner. My new window shutters turned out great and I would hire Tim in the future for my handyman projects.Mar 7, 2017Verified
Tim is a very pleasant gentleman to work with. I'm sure my job was a lot more than he expected, because the price quoted was much less than I thought it would be. He never said anything about an increase, as I expected, hiring someone online. The job was definitely done to my expectation and I've already scheduled more work for Tim. I found my new handyman! Thank you again, I'm the happy camper :)Feb 26, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing does vary but I try and foresee what the customer is NOT telling me through their requests. I do give a pretty close estimate to what I say through my quotes, unless there is substantial amount of information not listed in the request. I give free in home estimates within reasonable distance; and always am able to give you a reasonable quote over the phone with details. I will charge a $75 fee if the customer asks for turbocad drawings of any job layout or build and will credit that fee to the overall cost of the job if hired. I always will discount the price if customers Hire me immediately through thumbtack, As well as Military and Law Enforcement discounts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The typical process would be an initial message through thumbtack, text, call or email to verify both parties and introductions. Then either details are given through those lines of communication and a price is discussed or a walk through is set up at a reasonable time for both parties and further is discussed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have worked in an industrial refractory company since 2005 and worked my way up from laborer, to labor foreman, and to certified welder in 2010. From then I started fab/welding small residential projects for fun and large industrial projects for the company. Through the last 10 years i have expanded my knowledge to carpentry, and masonry.
