FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We provide an absolute flat fee for almost every type of service that we provide. The only exceptions would probably be asylum petitions and Chapter 11 reorganizations since they are both labor intensive and one can never predict the amount of work involved. Unlike other attorneys we do not have ad-on fees and we do not charge by the hour. The quote that we give to inquiries is truthful and accurate, we do not give a low-ball price just to lure people in and then hit them with a surprise, which is why we're hired more often than our competitors despite the "higher" price quotes we provide on Thumbtack.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide in person and over the phone consultations, both of which are free of charge. We usually give a call to our potential clients first to see whether they are seeking legal service that we can provide, and if so what type. We then give them a quote for the service sought. We charge an absolute flat fee for almost every type of service we provide, unlike most attorneys who charge either by the hour or have add-on fees. We then schedule a meeting with our potential clients in person when they're ready to come in.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Kristy Qiu, the main attorney, has a Master of Law degree, a Juris Doctor degree, and an Engineering degree.
