Creative Solutions Therapy

Introduction: I work with individuals and families to identify unhealthy patterns and work together with my clients to find creative ways of getting "unstuck" from these negative cycles. There are times when simply talking is not enough; it is for this reason that I incorporate things like photos, creative assignments, and other tools in therapy. The PhotoTherapy techniques I use allow for deeper exploration of therapy issues and the goals they have set. This could include assigning a client to take photos for a specific homework assignment, bringing in photos to share more of their story with me, etc. The techniques are especially useful in reaching adults and teens who have difficulty controlling or expressing their emotions. I am passionate about working with individuals and families, listening to their story, and understanding who they are on a deeper level. I work with clients to overcome barriers that may be preventing a couple from getting along, a parent and teen from understanding each other, or an individual from reaching the goals they've set up for themselves.
