FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate is generally $40; however, I also can provide a bid for larger projects.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak with the customer or schedule a visit to see the project so I can determine whether the project is within my abilities. While I am well-versed in many areas of the building trades, I would never take on a project I am not confident I am able to execute properly and I will always be honest. After gathering some information about a project, we determine whether a visit to see or bid the project will be necessary before scheduling.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a four-year degree in carpentry in construction from Denmark, where I grew up. I have been working in the trades for 18 years and have experience in nearly every aspect of building or home maintenance. This includes rough and finish carpentry, cabinetry, kitchens and bathrooms, exterior maintenance, new construction, full renovations, and more. Additionally, I have business licenses to work as a handyman in Lee County and the City of Fort Myers and I am also insured. I am in the process of studying for the general contractors' exam for Florida.
