FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally depends on the type of services provided.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Begin brainstroming to find out what they are looking for, have they found samples of images they like? What is their style? Who is the client and what is the ultimate goal for this photoshoot? Communicating with the client is key, making sure they understand what all will be involved and the time it will take to complete the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in photography, and worked as the photo editor and lead photographer for Scuba Diving magazine and the Undersea Journal for three years. This job required high level multi-tasking, including social media management for the brand, studio, location, and underwater photography sometimes with models in extremely diverse and difficult photographic conditions, photo research for two brands, and completion of payments and rate negotiation. Currently, I am the head freelance photographer for all of SWFL for Evolve vacation group, photographing home vacation rentals under a strict deadline for websites such as Airbnb, VRBO, and Homeaway. I am also owner of Katy Danca Galli Photography, shooting atmospheric underwater and topside imagery.
